Research

Work packages 1-3 are highly complementary focusing on in silico drug discovery, drug testing/screening, molecular pathway analyses in model systems, and the identification and reduction of adverse events. These approaches are iterative and we continuously exchange information to increase the chance to identify viable compounds and targets. Most ESRs research projects encompass at least two WPs, which ensures broad scientific training.
By providing complementary expertise and technology platforms as well as access to model systems and compounds, DRUGtrain will unify disciplines of bio- / chem-informatics, pharmacology, toxicology, molecular/cellular biology and experimental pathology / nephrology to generate robust interdisciplinary and intersectional collaborations.
